Anchorage Motel, Bar Harbor

Returning to the hotel after enjoying activities in Acadia National Park, the rooms looked impeccable each day, but security was a concern with a lack of proper locks. Dining options were somewhat lacking, given the absence of breakfast amenities, and the facilities seemed basic.

The hotel offers clean and basic rooms at a good value. The service was a mix of unfriendly and exceptionally helpful. The location is central and ideal for exploring downtown and accessing Acadia, but may not suit light sleepers. The dining options were limited, the facilities were adequate overall.

The hotel exceeded my expectations with its comfortable and quiet rooms, even though it's located in a tourist area. The service was lovely and very welcoming, friendly, and helpful but not too helpful in recommending alternative whale watch tour operators. The location was good, close to shops and restaurants, but should be upgraded to the level of other motels we stayed in. The dining could have been more satisfying, with just coffee and a day-old muffin. However, the Pork Belly dish was yummy.
